5 Hidden Gems of Disney World

Going to Disney World but want to experience something other than the huge thrills and most popular attractions? Here are some of hidden attractions that are wonderful, humorous, and/or peaceful. They will give you a new and exciting look into another part of Disney World.

    1. a bridge on Tom Sawyer's Island

The bridge on Tom Sawyer’s Island

Tom Sawyer’s Island – This little piece of quiet and beauty is tucked back in the Magic Kingdom. You can lurk through the caves, shoot out of the fort, or rock in one of the comfy chairs. The river and woods surround you in this peaceful, surprising attraction. Park: The Magic Kingdom (Frontierland)  Average Wait Time: None  Near by Attractions: Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

    2. The Sum of All Thrills – Want to build your own rollercoaster? Here you can do just that. First, design the ride and then test it out on a simulator. Not only is this fun for future (or present) engineers, the whole family can scream and invent together. Park: Epcot   Average Wait Time: 10 minutes to 40 minutes  Near by Attractions: Inoventions
    3. Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor This is probably my favorite attraction ever. Monsters like Mike and Roz make an appearance in this comedy show. However, the humans (you) and the other monsters are the real stars. Be ready to laugh until you cry at this show. Park: Magic Kingdom (Tomorrowland)  Average Wait Time: 10 minutes to 20 minutes  Near by Attractions: Stitch’s Great Escape and Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Blast
    4. Nature at Animal Kingdom

      The beautiful Animal Kingdom

Discovery Island Trails and Pagani Forest Exploration Trail – View different animals amongst beautiful wildlife on these trails. From otters to hippos to monkeys, the creatures here are diverse. Plus, taking a break from big crowds and long lines can be nice. Park: Animal Kingdom (Discovery Island and Africa)   Average Wait Time:  None   Near by Attractions: Kilimanjaro Safaris (Pagani)

    5. One Man’s Dream – Want to learn more about the man behind Walt Disney World? This exhibit and film tells the tale of Walt Disney and his creations. Heartfelt without being corny, One Man’s Dream will bring smiles and perhaps tears as well as great knowledge of and respect for the parks and movies. Park: Hollywood Studios   Average Wait Time: None  Near by Attractions: Toy Story Mania
